Given the ongoing COVID-19 social distancing and safety requirements, the Air Conditioning Association of New England (ACA/NE) and its Northern New England Chapter (ACA/NNE) are going virtual with this year’s HVAC/R Career Day!

ACA/NE's goal is to increase awareness that the industry provides challenging and rewarding careers that offer excellent pay and benefits. This event is an opportunity for the industry to demonstrate a growing demand for new HVAC/R employees, and that students can enter the workforce without the debt they would incur after attending a four-year college.
While we will miss having the chance to interact with students and future employees, we believe the virtual platform will reach an even greater audience as schools will not need to finance transportation or process parental permissions. We also expect to register a more diverse audience of students who have never attended an ACA/NE Career Day.

Fees

ACA/NE and ACA/NNE Members = $250

ACA/NE and ACA/NNE Non-Members = $500

Schools - No Charge

The new platform will allow vocational and private career school students, career services staff, principals, guidance counselors, and teachers to participate to learn about the full spectrum of career opportunities within the HVAC/R industry.

Sponsorship Benefits

The Virtual Career Day will give HVAC/R contractors, distributors, and manufacturers the chance to showcase their own companies and the benefits they offer potential employees. The Virtual Career Day will offer HVAC/R contractors, distributors, and manufacturers opportunities to develop brand awareness and interaction with students and potential employees.

As a Career Day sponsor/exhibitor, you will be able to customize your own virtual trades show booth, schedule meetings, dialogue with attendees, and promote your company as a great place to pursue a meaningful career.

The educational sessions will be recorded, and students and teachers will have access to the links and “exhibitor” trade show booths for six months following the event.
The total package will create an excellent resource for HVAC faculty who can incorporate the educational sessions into the everyday curriculum plus explore employer information for an extended period.

Your company will receive:
  • A sponsored listing, including company description and logo;
  • A two-day virtual trade show;
  • Links to your social and website platforms;
  • Company and personnel contact information;
  • Link to promotional video produced in-house or with the help of ACA/NE;
  • A scheduling link to set up individual school meetings and or employee interviews.

Student, Faculty, and Career Services Staff Benefits

The Career Day will give students the opportunity to explore the full spectrum of career opportunities within the HVAC/R industry.

The program will also increase awareness by career services staff, principals, guidance counselors, and teachers of the career opportunities available in the HVAC/R industry'
s.

The HVAC/R industry provides challenging and rewarding career options that offer great pay, benefits and growth opportunities.

There is a growing demand for new HVAC/R employees, and jobs are available to students who want to enter the workforce with the skills needed for career success, but without the debt they would incur after attending a four-year college.

The Career Day will start with an educational session where industry representatives will speak with students about their careers, discuss how they entered the industry and review the types of jobs that are available within their companies.

The students will also attend a second session to learn about the requirements, expectations, and skills they need to negotiate a professional employment interview successfully. The class will cover social skills, public speaking, time management, project management, and critical thinking.

After the educational sessions, students will visit contractors, distributors  and vendors virtual booths to learn about specific information that can lead to a rewarding career path at specific companies.
The HVAC industry sponsor virtual trade show booths will include pre-recorded information about each company as well as links and contact information so students and teachers can continue to explore and obtain access well after the Career Day concludes.
